An inky line defines my eyes,
A band name on my back,
Raven hair conceals my face
And I am wearing black.
Does my appearance bother you?
I'm just expressing who I am,
Most kids who are about my age,
Wouldn't give a damn.
I'd never really scare a soul
Except on Halloween,
I try to speak politely
(Though it's not as easy as it seems!).
So please do not prejudge me,
And make remarks behind my back,
You'll find I'm not that different:
I'm only wearing black.
