About this user
Dr. Phillip Chang is a Board Certified plastic surgeon practicing plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery and laser surgery in the Loudoun County area.
Dr. Chang is Board Certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He grew up in the Washington metropolitan area. After graduating from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, he completed his general surgery training at the prestigious Loma Linda University Medical Center in Southern California, where he was fortunate to train with prominent cosmetic surgeons in Newport Beach and Beverly Hills. Dr. Chang then returned to the University of Rochester where he completed an Accredited Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Chang has given talks nationally on his research and insights on topics ranging from post-trauma facial reconstruction to abdominal wall reconstruction. In addition to developing the HARMONY minimal scar facial rejuvenation procedure, he has taught the technique of Transaxilly Hidden-scar Breast Enlargement as well as the Arcus Marginalis Release technique for cosmetic eyelid surgery to local plastic surgeons.
These techniques reflect Dr. Chang's belief that most procedures, particularly as they relate to the face, can be performed through smaller and more hidden incisions. Often facial rejuvenation may be accomplished with minimally invasive procedures such as BOTOX® Cosmetic injections to reduce fine lines, Radiance to fill unwanted facial lines, and Laser treatments to remove dark spots, veins, and unwanted hair.
Dr. Chang has dedicated his efforts at Aesthetica to offering a unique plastic surgery experience to his cosmetic patients. At Aesthetica, minimally invasive cosmetic procedures are emphasized in a facility that blends a spa-style pampering and state-of-the-art cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Chang emphasizes that one of his most important credentials is that he is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He states that this is important because dentists and other unqualified physicians are attempting to pass themselves off as plastic surgeons even in Loudoun and Fairfax. Dr. Chang graduated from an accredited training in Plastic and Reconstructive in New York while receiving his cosmetic training in a fellowship program in Newport Beach and Beverly Hills, California. He then returned to his roots in Loudoun County Virginia where he grew up.
Most of my patients are not looking for drastic changes, says Dr. Chang. In terms of facial rejuvenation, many patients want to look refreshed and can benefit from treatments like a mini facelift, or procedures that address sun damage and brown spots, as well as eyelid rejuvenation. As for their bodies, a mommy makeover consisting of a breast augmentation and/or tummy tuck, can help return their bodies to how they may have looked prior to pregnancy.
With each outcome, I always strive for genuine-looking results that dont draw significant attention to the fact that patients underwent plastic surgery. The proof is in our before and after pictures. My pictures are representative of my work and I think most people will find my results better than others they will find from other plastic surgeons.
