About Me:

"You know, Don Juan, I think was not a philanderer - just a perfectionist. He was only looking for the perfect counterpart for himself. It is so hard to find the perfect counterpart.

If I am really loving a girl, I am wanting to share everything with her - skiing, swimming - damn it, there is a word in German for which there is no translation." He asked me for my pencil and carefully printed it out: Mitteilungsbeduerfnis.

"You must have it with the one you love - and it is a basic element in any creative person. The word says a man has a need, a passion to give his experiences to others. He is needing to tell to another person his experiences, the beauty he sees and is touching. But it is not an easy affair like chewing the fat over a glass of wine. With this feeling, if you are in love with somebody you want to share everything. You want to convey things - the entire gamut. Now if I'm in love it's a very, very lousy love if I cannot share from top down to hell with my girl. I am not in love only when we are happy."

- Fritz Lang, interviewed by Mary Morris 1945

Yeah I could see that too. I mean I thought it was mostly because of German heritage and then a lot of people know nothing and think oh German, oh fascist (as in WWII). He is responsible for the movie so the pressure is to be demanding just like Hitch supposedly treated his actors like crap yet if you read their words, they were friendly for the most part.

I know there have been a couple of bios really negative on how Lang was such a fascist that he promoted that in his films thematically. From the interviews I saw with him and that quote of yours, he seems the opposite. I don't know why they do that stuff.

Thank you very much, Emily. But, I must tell you the background on my channel is one I found through a Google Image search and I came across it on a blog for July of this year when TCM was doing their 1939 Hollywood recognition. But thanks you though. I am very glad that you've accepted my invitaiton and I hope you have a lovely afternoon.

Sincerley,
Josh
