There must be a very special piccolo teacher there as they have one very very good player after another - not just good in keeping with the standards but REALLY good.

Stewart Taylor formerly of Montreal and Israel Philharmonic may be the best but Remington, the old teacher at Eastman...that was the guy who got everyone notable in gear.

who ever teaches piccolo should win the nobel prize as this orchestra and the Simon Bolivar have incredible players at that position. Just listen...amazing.

made for each other. these kids play better than any orchestra their age in the entire world and they love to play with Rattle. You can see it.

person for person, i think this is a more exciting orchestra that the simon bolivar. just because these young people have to try so hard to make performances like this happen.
