His full name is Ivo robotnik. he became a scientist because his grandfather was unfairly executed and eggman had thought he was a great man when he was a child anyway but somewhere along the line got obssesed with a world under his rule. and began his plans for world domination far before the first sonic game. when eggman found his grandfathers diary when he hacked into prison island computers. he found out that his grandfather was perhaps not as innocent as he had thought. eggman will help save the world with sonic and friends most likely because it would defeat his whole purpose. eggman is discribed as loud pompous scientist but he is not just a scientist he is a engineer and pilot his skills would be mechanics, building robots, fixing machines of all kinds, above super genius level intellect, bombardment sabatoge with tails in sonic cronicles the dark brotherhood, ability type power and skill. likes mechas metals all things evil and rotten, action,adventure, taking over the world, weoponry, robots, everything obeying his command, and of course... power, eggs, science, chao, world domination and sara. dislikes sonic and friendsa but mostly sonic. scratch, grounder, coconuts, dr.brandon quark, decoe, bocoe, SA-55, defeat senseless destruction and killing, low tolerence for betrayal, failure, snakes........... the only reason eggmans plans fail are due to sonic and friends some people discribe eggman as being immature from throwing temper tantrums as a little kid would do even though he is 47. he has abominable laughter and maniacle declarations. dispite his and sonics constant feud he has came up with a begrudging respect for the hedgehog. he often shows his hatred for the hedgehog with his unmistakable catchphrase I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!!! dispite his evil nature he does have a human side. which is seen more in sonic x because of the shows comedy value. and he dislikes physically harming people and animals as seen in an episode of sonic x episode when the metarex leader knocked cosmo out and stabbed chris....Eggman has also shown considerable physical strength, dispite his physical structure, eggman is also very athletic, this is seen in the 16 bit era games, where there is usually a point where sonic chases him despite his weight and sonics speed he always outruns his nemesis, it is shown that he is indeed faster than sonic himself.
