Raised on a 100 acre horse ranch in Central Oregon. So I am quite familiar with hard work, shoveling horse s*# and all there is to do with ranch life. Look forward to retiring on a ranch.

Traveled and experienced over 40 countries. During these travels: worked with Mother Theresa in Calcutta; as a Jackaroo at Austral Downs, a 1.5 million acre cattle station; crewed on a 70' sailboat, the Sensation, in the Darwin-Ambon Yacht Race; lived on Somo Somo Island, a remote Fijian Island, with a spear fisherman and his family and learned their ways of life; met my wife in Narva, Estonia; lived summers in a cabin located in a remote Russian village with my wife, my three boys and my in-laws; extensive kayak trips in New Zealand's Southern Island fjords and the Tasman Sea; hiked and bushwhacked countless extended trips for one month in Tasmania; experienced Ayurvedic medicine in Jaipur, India which influenced me to become a naturopathic physician.
Here in the USA, I've summitted Mt Rainier and Mt Baker, parachuted out of planes and enjoy (not really) plunging into freezing Alpine Lakes.
Married to my wife, Nadja and have three great boys, Tasman, Mathew and Theodor.
In other words, I'm pretty a pretty-well rounded bloke that has seen many things. This allows me to have an interesting perspective towards health and 'ill' health. I frankly do not believe in disease; rather I look at it as dysfunction. Restore function - and symptoms disappear.
