Follow the DownWind Snipers as they bring you fast-paced predator hunting, deer hunting, turkey hunting, and many other outdoor activities on DownWind Outdoors.
About Me:

Our goal is to master the art of filming hunts in the difficult northeastern part of the country and provide the hunting world with the most action-packed and entertaining footage possible. The snipers from DownWind Outdoors are constantly challenging each other as hunters, marksman, and videographers, to help tackle the obstacles before us in the State of New York. With harsh winters, (at times) rough terrain, abundant pressure, scarce yet highly intelligent and educated game- we invite you to join us on this mission, and to learn from and enjoy our hunting experiences.

Thanks from the DWO Team,

Andy DelliVeneri, Mike Flanagan, Brian Gaugler, Eric Lawler, and Jerrod Vila

I happened to find you guys when i was browsing through YouTube and i love the videos. I also live in new york and i am an avid hunter for just about everything. i was just wondering what area do you guys hunt in New York?

working through your fantastic clips. Ii have a good understanding of just how good a job you guys do with your hunts on film. Your down to earth non Hollywood productions are as good as IO've seen and is a credit to you and reflects well on the sport.
I wish you all the best in your endevors. Say safe and keep them coming.
LOVE YOUR WORK. VERY INSPIRATIONAL.
Regards David

Stay tuned for two more videos featuring the use of coyote vocals. Thanks for watching....and @tylerandnessa, there is only one call we use ;-) visit us at downwindoutdoors.com for more info on the cottontail rabbit squealer made by Crack Calls.

Well that last video answers my question! Have you had any luck with calling them in with vocal calls? I have gotten some howls back and have stopped them for a double with the ki-yi, but have not had one come into any invites or estrus whimpers yet. I feel like it is a sound theory to call them in with vocals but have no proof that it actually works in the northeast.

Great videos guys. Definetly the best yote vids on youtube. I am located in Southern Ontario and try and get out for Coyotes as much as I can. I had to pass on a beaut the other day, he crossed over onto land we don't have permission to hunt. Thats hunting though and will get him another day. It had a red tail, first one I have ever seen like it.

@DWO; Agreed! I wasn't really tryin to say you guys use JR, just tryin to make an example. Most don't understand our way of thinking and just do what they see works for others. Understandable, but not realistic. On a side note, I really enjoy your video's and looking forward to the next.

Do you guys ever use coyote vocal calls? Do you normally stick to distress calls or just in the videos? I am curious as I have recently started using vocal calls to call coyotes in. Before now vocals were just a locator call for me. I would love to see some video of NY coyote being called with vocals.

@m411b We don't use Jackrabbit either but I agree with your advice. It's all about mixing it up and trying new things. Not only because the coyotes in your region might respond better to something else, but also because the pressure and other hunters in your area may be teaching them similar sounds as well. Experiment is the name of the game.
