It is true that ALL handguns should be considered backup weapons. They are not the all that ends all by any means, when my combat rifle or shotgun runs out of ammo then I use my handgun. Glock 17 for me because I personally feel comfortable with that handgun with PDX1 +p ammo.

The Gen 4 Glock 17 feels so good in my hand and in my opinion is Perfectly balanced.

Smith & Wesson M&P should not be number 1 simply because it has THE WORST sights ever put on a factory handgun, is not as reliable as the other guns on the list, and it is too expensive.

Glock 19 should have been #1 by a landslide.

The ONLY adavantage for the M16 is weight. That is it.

The M16 and civilian use AR15 are unreliable and in no way should be considered a great gun.

Sure, they are accurate as long as they are kept perfectly clean. Otherwise, the only reason most people buy them is because they look "Cool".

Finally Ruger made a 25 round banana clip for the great 10 22! Buy it and you will not regret. The Butler Creek or Tactical Solutions magazines are GARBAGE compared to the Ruger Factory made Mag. The 10 22 is maybe the greatest rifle EVER made!
