DOUG DUFFEY

Doug Duffey was inducted into the "Louisiana Hall of Fame" in April, 2001; inducted into "the Blues Hall of Fame" in 2009.

Born in Monroe, Louisiana, in the Mississippi delta, Doug Duffey has been singing, playing piano, composing and performing professionally since the age of 14. He's lived and worked in America's music capitals: New Orleans, Nashville, Los Angeles, and New York- and has recorded and toured worldwide.

Hes written songs for and/or recorded with Marcia Ball, George Clinton, Funkadelic, Bernie Worrell, Eddie Hazel, Rare Earth, Nicky Hopkins, Beverly Jo Scott, Zakiya Hooker, Jerry Beach, Anders Osborne, June Yamagishi, and Little Queenie [to name a few] and performed on recordings with Keith Richards, Kathi McDonald, Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, David Byrne, Bootsy Collins, Steve Jordan, Herbie Hancock, and many many more...

His career spans 40+ years and has carried him from his native Louisiana to international success. He has written, recorded, and produced 8 critically acclaimed cds of all original material to date. He currently lives in Louisiana & Switzerland [for the last 18 years] where he tours regularly.
