About this user

Originally from Naples, Florida, I grew up in southern suburbia. I was introduced to the art of rhyming at the tender age of 9 by my older brother. Freestyling became second nature through experience; I practiced rapping over various beats that my brother cued up on his Walkman plugged into the tape deck. I then met another young rapper and formed a two man rap group, the JD Boyz. At this point I began honing my rhyming skills, broke from the constraints of freestyling, and focused more on written raps. Intense study of artists such as 2pac, Eminem, and Nas, helped develop my rhyming skills. The limitations of rapping over other artists' instrumentals inevitably forced me to take on production duties. Armed with a hundred dollar beat machine and a fifty dollar keyboard, I started pumping out beats with a fervor. The combination of producer slash artist allowed me to fully appreciate and understand Hip Hop.

After bouncing between groups, I decided to focus on my career as a solo artist. Once I graduated high school I had already spent seven years studying, learning, and practicing the art form. I wanted more. More, as in a college education that would expand my musical talents; specifically my engineering skills. Graduating with a 4.0 and perfect attendance from Full Sail University, I left with more than just a degree in Recording Arts, I left with knowledge of one of the most important phases of CD construction, recording. Taking my newly learned knowledge of the recording process, I landed a intern position at the Hit Factory in Miami. Advancing my position to full-time assistant engineer in less than three months, I started receiving credits on many albums from some of the top artists today including Timbaland, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, all of which have CD's with my name credited on the inside cover. However, I never gave up on my dream, I continued to write and produce my own music. The experience of being in the studio with these heavyweights had nothing other than a positive effect on my musical career, which has continued as a solo artist; writing, producing, and recording my own material.
