I've only had mine for about a week, but already I'm doing things I could never do without it. It sure beats the hell out of spending all night with a Dremel to produce a single piece of acrylic that neither looks as good nor is as precisely shaped.

People generally just want to get along with each other in ways that mutually benefit everyone. Things only get screwed up when governments get involved in any of it.

Great video. You have a talent for explaining things clearly in a way that's easy to understand. Also, it's nice to see an I/V/R analogy that isn't the tiresome water tank that everyone else uses.

Nice build. I made something similar but smaller (TV remote sized, ran on batteries) a few years ago for cutting into that awful hard plastic blister pack everything is packaged in these days, and it worked very nicely, plus it doubled as a handy way to customize the cube-foam in equipment cases.

I can't believe mine is 2 years old already. Still solid, still without any problems, although the D2 steel needs resharpening fairly regularly. I love the axis lock, and probably will never buy another blade that doesn't have it.

Thanks for posting the clearest, most understandable tutorial and reasons for using flyback diodes that I've ever seen. I've been using them, knowing that it's "the way it's supposed to be done", but was never this clear on exactly why.

First thing I thought of when I heard him mention the breadboard prototype was the "It's Not Out Yet, So Don't Ask" segment from the Ask An Engineer show at Adafruit.

Seems a really poor choice of product name for a tent. If I went to my local sporting goods store and asked for the location/department where they sell "Flashlight tents", I'd probably be directed to the lighting section.
