US geo-political grand stratergy requires the subversion of nearly every other country on earth. The result of which is poverty, misery, suffering, and death brought to millions on a daily baisis. And for what? The preservation of the "American way of life"? Will you explain to the children of Gaza that all their suffering is a 'means to an end', caused by the US need to have a beachead in the Mid-east, thus 'creating' Israel. Israel owe's it's entire modern existance to the US, as much as it did once to the protection of Rome. Don't think for a second that the US 'cares' about the jewish people, for they are just 'useful' to the administration, at this time, nothing more.
Is it for democracy? No, The US government has supported, if not had a hand in the creation of most right-wing dictatorships since WWII.
Is it for peace? No, The maintenence of foregin wars by the US has done much to keep other countries permenently broke, and thus no 'threat' to 'US interests' in a given region.
