It's a shame that you had to use savestates, but I honestly can't blame you. I never messed around with the Ancient Cave much on the cart back in the old days because I always had a feeling that it got extremely cheap towards the last levels.

The [actual] music in this game in awesome. It's a shame there isn't more of it, and doubly a shame that it was a poorly developed mess.

The first (and only) time I finished this game I was down to my last life bar on my last life and had burned up all of my continues.

I'm pretty sure this music helped me not die as it's typically hard to beat an end boss with a full count. Good times.

Pretty sure I lived off of this crap (although I remember the ones with meatballs tasting freakin' awesome) and PB&Js when I was 3. I don't remember them tasting like spaghetti-os however but more like ABCs & 123s on steroids.
