Doctor of Naturopathy (Retired)

Ian Shillington, or "Doc" as everyone calls him, has over 35 years of doing Research and Data Analysis in the field of Business Organization and Statistical Evaluation. Twenty One years ago, and after the birth of his son he became very interested in the subject of health as he wanted his family to reach and maintain the peak of health if only for the sake of the new family member who had just arrived. Little did he know at the time that he would not only embark on a journey into an area of many unknowns loaded with a tremendous amount of confusion and false information, but that he would discover his life's work and passion.

Doc, like many Natural Healers before him went into his data gathering and learning mode, and began studying such stalwarts as Dr. Bernard Jensen and Dr. John Christopher. A tremendous amount of information was gleaned from these pioneers while also learning about Health from the Medical side as well. The amount of conflict existing between the Medical Profession and the Naturopaths was unbelievable. It didn't take him long before he dropped his interests in the Medical route when he found that the Naturopaths were on the right track for the most part. Finally he decided to get his Naturopathic Doctors Degree and graduated Trinity College over a decade ago.

Doc discovered along the way that there was still a great deal of confusion and conflict, even in the Natural Health field, and has spent his time since then using his data analysis and evaluation talents to attempt to straighten out the subject and bring it into some semblance of order. His largest contribution to date was in discovering the common denominator of all illness, that being "Stoppage". Prior to this, it was commonly believed that "Blockage" was the culprit, but that didn't answer why people got Diabetes and many other conditions where there was no Blockage present.

Doc firmly believes in being the kind of Doctor as was originally intended by Hippocrates. The original definition of DOCTOR comes from the Latin word "Docare" (pronounced "DoaK Arra) which means "to teach". Doc has always said he doesn't have patients, he has students. He teaches people to "heal" themselves. He teaches people to "look and then evaluate" for themselves.
