Music:
Mainly the 60's. It has a profound influence in my music. I mean did'nt the 60's revolutionized music? Ok we had the 50's but the 60's in my opinion really opened up the gap between different genres n merged the sound into one to make it what we hear today. I mean how many artists out there these days that actually apreciate the history of music? That is what I am trying to do with Hip Hop trying to bring a different sound to the table, n distance my self from the same clichéd sound, found in mainstream! And then theres Alanis Morissette... she very often gets pigeonholed as an "Angry Female From The Nineties", where in fact, she had a tremendous role in revolutionizing the sound and creative freedom of female musicians - so kudos to Alanis. Her follow-up to Jagged Little Pill, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie 1998 and her last record, Flavors Of Entanglement 2008 are probabley the best records Ive ever heard, she is so inventive with words and refreshingly self-aware, not to mention deeply insightful. (If there's still someone left on the planet who hasn't seen the My Humps cover - go youtube it, you won't regret it ;)
