I love music, art, national geographic, sport, beautiful things....
I come from a very musical family. I remember that we used to make music at home, grand parents uncles etc.and there are stil some recordings from those meetings( which i realy like to have)
I also remember my uncles, from fathers and mothers side, played in bands.
I started playing guitar at 9, at 11 years my parents send me to a music school to learn to read and play classical piano until the first grade (what i am very thank full of).
I gave my first performance on stage at 12 on that same music school with all enthousiast students and parents as audience.
At 13 i started making my first recordings on an old Phillips cassete recorder. Favorite was the thursday with the Ferry Maat Soulshow followed up by Jazz.
At 17 i gave the first gig as bassplayer in a funk band on a birthdays party...............

That constantly repeating of the same beat had something hypnotic, completed with a strong bas line, a ritmiq guitar and percussion. If you write down the arrangement of Funk on a paper, and compair it with Techno, you wil see the similarity between the two music styles.Grandmasters of funk: James Brown, Lyn Collins, Bootsy Collins, the JB's, Zapp, Funkadellic, Parliament George Clinton, Curtis Mayfield, Johny Guitar Watson, Mothers Finest, Patrice Rushen ( you have to listen to 'hang it up'), Slave, Maceo Parker, Sly and the Family Stone, The Meters, Average White Band, Rose Royce, Prince, Cheyenne, Candy Dulfer.
