I'm a Drum n' Bass D.J and producer from the U.K representing Extent Recordings, Dubkraft, Heads of the valley recordings, T3k Recordings,Freestylefm.net and Dirt lab audio.
About Me:
I started out way back in the late 80's making Hip Hop and then moved through the ranks and onto Drum n' Bass.
I have experience using Cubase, Logic, Reason, Fruity Loops, Acid Pro, Abelton, Soundforge, Wavelab and many VST's such as Massive, Albino and more!
I make music purely because I am musically minded, as i was raised up playing the Flute and Tenor Saxophone of which I have both passed many Exams on including the Grade 8 on the Flute! With that, I have performed at Saint Davids Hall in Wales, Southampton on the QE2 and in London at Southbank.
You could say I'm an accomplished musician, but I wanted to get into DJ'ing in the late 80's and left that all behind to get into producing, using the music mind I have obtained over the years!
I have been involved in many, many projects, been in many crews including The Underdog sound system and the Brave Nu kru which used to play regularly at the Dungeons in Lea Bridge Rd, Hackney, London.
I used to help Moderate the Defcom Records forum for Si aka Kryptic Minds and Leon Switch in the early part of the century when they started out the Label. This gave me a lot of confidence and I even helped with the design of their first Tee Shirt along with Ollie Struktur, which I'm pretty proud of. You can see a shout for me inside the Lost all Faith CD Album cover. The experience I gained off this we're vital to my time now on Extent, as I do a lot of Admin alongside Lydon, to get the label running in a nice order!
I had a Vinyl release back in the early part of the century with a track called ' This World' on ' Underdog Records' which I personally witnessed getting cut onto the master disc by no other than Simon @ the Exchange who fed me nothing but inspiration.
I won the BBC 1Xtra Dubplate competition way back in 2003 with a track called Vengeance and haven't stopped since.
In 2008 I came across a man called Kr4y and He hooked up with a net label under the name of beataddiction.net which promotes the unsigned artist by releasing EP's, The label itself is ran by another producer who goes under the name of Arje. This is also where I first spotted Joe Virus who is now a part of The Extent Group also.
I later in 2009 had an E.P release Extent Recordings and in 2010. I also had a track and a collaboration on the One Year LP ( Extent Recordings). In May 2010, I had a track called ' Keepin' it Real' featured on the 'EX10T- Soldiers EP' on Extent Recordings and also later in July 2010 a release on Extent Recordings along with KZSS (aka Fortitude), Marukomu and Lifestyle called The 'I Believe EP.' In december 2010 I had a track called ' The Wake' featured on the '13 LP' on The Extent Group which also featured a Remix from Artomik of my track 'Dark Knight' which is originally on the ' I Believe EP.'
During the putting together of the 13 LP I decided to also collaborate with good friend and Extent Producer Dan Kurrupt and we formed the group ' Lethal Sector' and released the track ' We really Don't care!' on the 13 LP.
Lydon and Myself have also formed a group as we also collaborate very well together and really enjoy it too. We go under the name of The Kingpins. The title was just for a laugh, we like to laugh a lot and as we are both Bosses of The Extent Group, we came up with the name ' The Kingpins.' More will be up about that later as more projects are finished ready for release!
The same year I also had releases on Dubkraft Records with a track called Numb Pain and I have some music forthcoming on Heads of the Valley Records and I had engineered by Nookie and mastered by Alex at Blue Pro Studios which is out in October 2011.
I D.J too ( 23 years experience) and have supported the likes of Nicky Blackmarket, Bladerunner, Cause 4 Concern, Klute and Epoc Live, Bailey, Bad Company, Krash Slaughter and many more.
I am an Extentian through and through and I'm a soldier that will never fall, I joined the staff in 2009 after my 1st release as I really wanted to take part in the label.
Most of my music will be out on Extent, but I do also collaborate with other labels and so on. I prefer to be on one label than 100 different labels and more loyal to my people!
Big Love!
