About this user

DAPZ has been into music from an early age. At 13 he took up DJ-ing, then by 16 progressed onto writing his own music. Dapz's main influences are within the Drum & Bass genre, and states that his musical influences come from artists such as; DJ Hazard, DJ Hype & DJ SS and more. Dapz went to Leicester College in 2000 to complete a course in Electronic Music & Recording to understand further how to use the Hardware etc and Programs involved for making music. In 2004 Dapz then took a National Diploma in BTEC Level 3 Music Technology , and subsequently finished. In 2005 Dapz began working with MC $pyda & MC Blu Bomma, opening him up to a range of new ideas, opportunities and a chance to further develop his skills in the Studio. This step into the music industry also led DAPZ to meet up and collaborate with more estabished artists, recording vocals for the likes of Benny Page (The Burial), DJ Clipz (Pass it Around) & Future Bound & Matrix (Knightrider). Following on from this 2006 saw Dapz going to work for the Youth Organisation called SEND www.sendproject.com , by completing a 7302 City & Guilds Course in Teacher Training, Dapz then stared teaching young adults how to DJ, Mix & produce music. 2007 was another sucessful year for dapz. dj'ing took him over seas to Germany twice where he played at a number of Drum & Bass events. More recently MC $pyda introduced SLiPZ to DaPZ whom he then began collaborating with in 2008. Writing not only Drum & Bass tracks, but also Grime, Hip Hop & 4x4 Bassline. within that year SLiPZ N DaPZ was signed to Passenger Records and had there 1st vinyl release with A, The Pressure B, Get down. aswell as doing remixes for Aquasky on Digital releases. Dapz also had intrest from Drum & Bass label Abstract V.I.P, Junction 11, SubSonic Audio and more in 2008/9. from this Dapz has had a number of 4track releases and singels....
