Robert H Clark, now known as Dixon on local stages in South Florida, reaches back into the talent that was well received in his hometown of Elkhart,Indiana. It was then, after high school, in 1991, with his 8 song original album that he made some strides in his dream of being a recording artist and live performer. He met with some success in his genre of Contemporary Christian Music, but soon after performing several years in his hometown region at many events and as a headliner opening act many times , he joined the Air Force. He took his talent with him and actually performed in various venues domestically and internationally as he travelled for duty until finishing active duty in 1996, and then stayed in Asia. He started performing in venues in Korea, Japan, and Thailand. He won several contests there, and was even featured on a Korean TV show comparable to American Idol. He was also featured at an amusement park liken to Disney. Robert then returned to the US in 1998, ending up in South Florida, then performed sporadically while working and going to school until recently.

Robert H Clark adopted the stage name Dixon in 2006 after an Air Force Reserve tour of duty in the Middle East. It was during this time that the need to share his talents and song presented itself stronger than ever before.(at least the notion to accomplish this feat before an untimely death).

His creativity, ambition, and talent propel him forward as Dixon releases the pent up years of holding back his songer side. His original songs tell of the struggles of starting and holding on to relationships while at the same time surviving the trials of hard work and patriotism. Dixon also sings many cover songs of various genre in his own "Dixon" renditions. Some songs that receive constant request at venues include his rendition of Love Song by the Cure, Jack and Diane by John Mellencamp, Unbreak My Heart by Toni Braxton, and such songs as Under the Boardwalk to name a few.

Dixon recently released an 11 song original LP project titled "In No Time Soon". One song written in this project "Airman Reign" was composed for the Air Force, and was considered for an Air Force promotional video. His original song and title song of the LP, "In No Time Soon" received an honorable mention in a 2006 Song of the Year contest. These songs along with a medley of acoustic covers can be listened to in this site
