I live in Georgia and have worked on an ambulance for over 20 years. I have several pets, Dale, Tonka and Fluffy. I have a great love for a breed that is so misunderstood, the pit bulldog. I have owned them since the 70's. I have rescued at least 10 from what I call the pit of hell. BSL is being considered in Ga. There are several cities here that have their own laws on the ownership of these dogs. The animal shelter in the county where I live wil not adopt out pitbulls or their mixes. I hate to think what happens if they do get any. I will continue the good fight for this breed until people can begin to see the truth and not what the media puts out there. There are also some websites that are anti-pit bull such as dogsbite.org. They go on and on about how every attack is by the pit bull. It is obvious to the responsible dog owners and to many others that this site spews lies. Also, a group called PETA would kill a pit bull in a split second. Their president is a true hater of this dog. I would not give this organization a red cent. PETA wants to rid the world of all animals. I support my local groups. I used to support and donate many dollars to HSUS, no more. They will not line their pockets with my money. When pit bulls are rescued from the pit of hell just to be euthanized and never given a chance, then I have no use for them. They have euthanized 6 week old puppies. That is just sick. All because in their eyes the world would be a better place without the pit bull dog.
