Demencio Avery-Jeremiah Lewis (Born May 8, 1990) commonly known simply by the mononym "Demencio", is an American model, actor, dancer, comedian, runway trainer, rapper, poet, artist, songwriter, writer, director, producer, creative director, director of photography, film editor, author, fashion designer, entertainer, performer, humanitarian, and mogul.
Lewis started designing in 2001, recreating denim wear and custom fitted jackets. His line "-Sincerely Demented" launched in 2011 which feature Biker Boy inspired custom pieces receiving attention from the like of celebrity stylist, magazines, and celebrity peers.
Lewis started as a dancer in middle school while also performing as a percussionist in the school band for 2 years. During middle school Lewis entered a pageant "Mr. & Mrs. Thurgood Marshall" where he won representing the school in good leadership and good academics. Before attending Thurgood Marshall Middle School, Lewis auditioned for Thomas Pullen Performing Arts Middle School as a dancer but didn't get accepted. Soon after that, Lewis began modeling at age 14 participating in community, school, and designer fashion shows. From then on Lewis entertained audiences every weekend dancing, modeling, and acting for benefit concerts. In 2008 Lewis appeared on BET's 106 & Park to perform with his Modeling Troop for "Wild Out Wednesday". Early 2009, Lewis caught the attention of Mogul himself Sean "P.Diddy" Combs to be the new face for his clothing line "Sean John", but was dropped from the offer. Moved into the Fashion Industry later, Lewis was signed by BASIC Model Management for a short period of time then later dropped by the agency. Lewis walked for New York designer "Jose Duran" during NY Fashion Week 2009, appeared in High Fashion Editorial for French Fashion Magazine "Fab Magazine","Bleu Magazine", and "Nylon Magazine".
Also Lewis appeared on two hit T.V sitcoms "Ugly Betty" and "The Good Wife" as an extra. Lewis has proven his "more than just a pretty face" by launching his very own YouTube Channel "DivoVideos" where he directs, produce, edit, and star in parody videos such as Music Videos, Short Films, and Theatrical Trailers. While living in Washington D.C, Lewis partnered up with various modeling troops from D.C, Maryland, and Virginia (The DMV) where he creative directed, produced, and participated in theatrical concerts. In late 2010, Lewis auditioned for AMDA New York (American Music and Drama Academy) as an actor and got accepted to attend with a partial scholarship.
As well as creative directing and styling, Lewis worked with Bad Boy Records, Day 26, Dawn Richard, and Deangelo Redman. Right before New Years Eve 2010, Lewis wrote and recorded his first verse and chorus to a track that was considered a joke amongst his friends "Coon Dance". After discovering his ability to write music, flow, and make a strong presence, he captivated the essence of his new found talent as a musician. Recently the quadruple threat have been working on writing music and becoming a Rapper. His mixtape "The Genius Mixtape" will drop sometime next year.
