I think you should get both at some point in time. They're my two favorite JRPGs this gen with Lost Odyssey on top. LO definitely has a better story(it's so emotional), more endearing characters, and a soundtrack that just can't be compared to any other. MC2 has a unique battle...

Lost Odyssey is amazing. Out of all the games I've ever played, and that includes pretty much all the FF games, Lost Odyssey has the most heart and soul. For personal reasons, FFVI remains my all-time favorite but LO is extremely close. Just watching this trailer brings back all the emotions, ...

That's kind of a misconception. He named it The Last Story because of the amount of effort that was put into the game. He said he worked on the game AS IF it was the last game he would ever make, not that he really thinks it'll be his last.

That's because this is the true FF and those are just some random SE games with the FF logo stamped on. Square Enix owns nothing but the title of the franchise. The vision has and will always belong to Sakaguchi. That will never change.

This music pretty much defines the life of an immortal: empty, lonely, bleak, and full of sadness. Happy memories exist too but those always pale in comparison and seem so much more short-lived than the painful ones.

This theme is so rad. Reminds me a little of Mega Man music or something but it also sounds like an FF track when the guitars come in at 1:10.

That and the fact that the creators behind LO also created Final Fantasy...only leaving shortly after FFX. Yep, that's why comparisons exist.

I love LO's soundtrack. I actually think it's some of Uematsu's best works as of late. I think the only FF soundtrack I might like a little better is VI's. That's just me though.

People were jealous and also ignorant of the fact that the creators behind this game were the original creators behind the FF series and made that series what it was until Enix came along and ruined it. The latest FF games are all flash and no substance. LO easily gets my vote for bes...

Her voice is so beautiful and perfect for this song. It has a good balance of softness and strength. I like that she's not singing from the back of her throat for this kind of music. Wish there was an official version of it somewhere.

I have a 360, a PS3, and a Wii so as long as he makes games for any of the major consoles, I'm fine with whichever one. Not sure the wii is the best choice as NoA has issues bringing core games over to the US. He probably chose the system for The Last Story though because Nin...

Each to his/her own. I prefer this OST over all three you mentioned. The only FF game I think has a stronger and slightly better soundtrack than LO is FFVI.

I don't care about the game and will most likely never play it but the music...so charming and enchanting. Uematsu does it again :]

As crummy as the Final Fantasy series has become, I can't completely ignore it because of Uematsu. This track is godly. It could have fit perfectly into Lost Odyssey because of the amazing guitars.

Maybe you already knew this but Uematsu also composed music for FFXI and FFXIV. FFXII's theme song Kiss me Goodbye was also composed by him. Anyway, Lost Odyssey is beyond epic, my favorite JRPG this gen. I hope Mistwalker is already thinking of another project after The Last Story.

Just in case you weren't joking...they're immortal because they were born in another world. Time runs differently there. Their child, however, was born in this world which makes her age and die normally. Makes perfect sense when you think about it in terms of a fictional work.
