One other thing about Jim...he was very 'mental'. Some people are just like that. He had wildness in his eyes in all the pictures you see of him before the Miami incident. The pictures taken after the Miami incident show a man who probably realized that he'd finally gone too far and realized he w...

From what I've read, at one of the Dallas concerts, Jim lost it, the Energy, as Ray Manzarek termed it. I think he was a different person after the Miami incident. Compare his early pictures to his post-Miami pictures...you'll see that the spark has left his eyes. I believe he had massive depress...

It is not easy to sing and play drums at the same time...sorta like rubbing your stomach, patting yourself on the head and trying to kick a field goal all at the same time....

Whenever you heard Three Dog Night, you know you were going to hear great singers plus a great band. I'm a first-generation Dog fan, and this music is hard-wired into my conscience. Great stuff. True talent is never dated. Especially here

I remember buying 'Fire and Rain' on a vinyl single back in the early '70s. The flip side was a song titled "Anywhere Like Heaven"...which also is a great song. In spite of that, I've never really gotten used to the 'bald' James Taylor. But I'm balding too. I try to wear a hat as much as I can. D...

It's too bad he didn't live longer. He had so many great songs left to play. It's sad. I have a Badfinger Bootleg from the "Straight Up" sessions, and there's a lot of great songs on that, which never got officially released.
I think Freddie Mercury was just about the best-ever front-man a band could have. Thank you for posting this. I've always wanted to see their last show.
