Whitebeard War Saga 2007-2010 Pt.3
The fifth saga in the series. It is also the last saga of the first half of the series. It follows the Straw Hat Pirates, namely Monkey D. Luffy, after their departure from Water 7. A massive war unfolds between the World Government and the Whitebeard Pirates, which was set in motion by the defeat of Portgas D. Ace at the hands of Marshall D. Teach, and climaxing at Ace's execution at Marineford. It is made up of six story arcs.
The Straw Hat Pirates travel to the ghost island of Thriller Bark, where they encounter one of the Seven Warlords, Gekko Moriah and recruit a new member named Brook who helps the Straw Hats fight and defeat Moriah. However, upon reaching Sabaody Archipelago they befriended Keimi, Pappug and Hachi (a former Arlong pirate) where the supernovas meet as well. However, Keimi gets kidnapped and sold to the World Nobles whic Hachi shot in the process making Luffy punch Saint Charloss in the face. During the whole mess, the other Nobles are taken care of with the help of Silvers Rayleigh. Quickly, Admiral Kizaru with the Pacifistas and Sentomaru are summoned and battle both Straw Hats and the supernovas. The Straw Hats stand no chance and are sent to different parts of the world by Bartholomew Kuma, another Warlord. Luffy is sent to Amazon Lily where he befriends Boa Hancock, another Warlord who falls in love with him. Upon learning of his brother's impending execution, Luffy makes the difficult decision of rescuing his brother first before reuniting with his crew. Hancock takes him to Impel Down where Luffy breaks in. However, he's nearly killed by Impel Down Warden Magellan in the process. With the help of Mr. 2, Emporio Ivankov saves.Discovering he is too late, breaks out of the great prison with the aid of Emporio Ivankov with his Okama party, Buggy The Clown, Mr. 1,Mr. 2, Mr. 3 and two former Warlords, Crocodile and Jinbe and running finally escape Magellan and his men grasp's thanks to Mr. 2's sacrifice. At the same time, Fleet Admiral announces to the Marines for the reason for Ace's execution. Because he's none other than the son of Gol D. Roger. The Whitebeard Pirates and their allies arrive at Marineford to rescue Ace. Soon after, Luffy and his group join the battle with Luffy teaming up with Whitebeard. The war heats up as the Marines and the Whitebeard Pirates clash, with the Marine Admirals and Vice Admirals and the Warlords joining the battle scene. Luffy is attacked by Kizaru and Aokiji and several Vice Admirals and thrown back. As the war spreads, the Whitebeards with the help of Luffy reach the Plaza and thanks to his group and Whitebeard, Luffy reaches Ace's platform and tries to free him but is attacked by Fleet Admiral Sengoku. However, Luffy frees and saves Ace.Everyone is enjoy seeing Ace free, as they retreat an already injured Whitebeard stays behind to battle the Marines. Suddenly, Admiral Akainu arrives and attempts to kill Luffy but Ace takes the fatal blow to the chest as he protects him. In shock, everyone tries to stop Akainu, knowing he's about die Ace tearfully thanks everyone for loving and dies, causing Luffy's mind to collapse in pain. Soon Akainu arrives to kill Luffy only to be critically beaten by a enrage Whitebeard. Not too long, the Blackbeard Pirates arrive.Whitebeard goes after Blackbeard and nearly defeats but is killed by the Blackbeard Pirates . Whitebeard dies standing up, even after receiving 153 blade wounds, 200 shot wounds, and 46 cannon blasts during the entire war. As the war wages on, the grieving Whitebeard Pirates try to to escape, with Jimbe carry a destroyed Luffy. However, Akainu once again goes after him and nearly kills both Luffy and Jimbe. But are saved by Crocodile. Later, the Whitebeard commanders battle Akainu. With Blackbeard rampaging Marineford and with Whitebeard's power, Sengoku stops arrives and stops him. With the slaughtering continuing , Coby (Luffy's Marine friend) in tears, begs each side to stop fighting after seeing the atrocities in battlefield. However and anger Akainu attempts to kill Coby, but is stopped by Shanks. The Red Haired Pirates tell each side to stop fighting, thus ending the war.
With the death of Whitebeard, the world has changes with the ending of the Great Age Of Pirates and with the start of the New Era, the increase of pirates ravage throughout the Grand LIne after it was confirm by Whitebeard that the One Piece indeed does exist. After being rescued and taken back to Amazon Lily, Luffy recovers and breaks in tears and mourns Ace's tragic death. He begans to remembers how he met Ace and Sabo almost 12 years ago. He's finally shaken away from his depression by Jinbe. Luffy decides to train and become stronger with the aid of Silvers Rayleigh in order to go to the New World. However, before doing this, he sends a message to his crewmates that they must become stronger too, and that they will reunite again at the Sabaody Archipelago after two years of training.

CP9 Saga 2004-2007 Pt. 2
The fourth saga in the series. After the adventure in Skypiea, the crew lands safely back in the Blue Sea, only to find themselves confronting Foxy the Silver Fox in the Davy Back Fight, and soon after, Aokiji, one of the three Marine Admirals. Narrowly escaping Aokiji, the Straw Hat Pirates reach Water 7, a city of carpenters, where Luffy is on a quest to find a shipwright for the crew.
They soon fall into trouble though, making enemies with both the Franky Family: a ship dismantling group, and the Galley-La Company: a shipbuilding company which employs some of the top carpenters in the world. They also learn that the Going Merry is dying, and because of this, Luffy decides to get a new ship. Usopp disagrees with the decision and leaves the crew. Meanwhile, CP9 of the World Government captures Robin by her will and flees to Enies Lobby, while the crew attempts to get Robin back. With help of the shipwrights and the Franky Family, the Straw Hats begin their assault on the judicial island against the thousands of Marines and Government forces. The climaxed battle between Luffy and CP9's Rob Lucci begins near the Gate Of Justice. And after nearly brutally dying, Luffy finally defeats Lucci, saving Robin and escaping. They give a viking funeral to the Going Merry in which each goodbye to their ship. Arriving back at Water 7, the Straw Hats finally out that they received new bounties and at the same run into Luffy's grandpa Garp and Coby and Helmeppo. Finally, they get her free and get a new crewmate: Franky, who is their shipwright. As they are leaving, Usopp apologizes and is welcomed back into the crew, and so the Straw Hat Pirates are ready to set sail with a brand new ship and shipwright, Thousand Sunny and Franky, along with Robin and Usopp back in the crew.
Meanwhile, Shanks encounters Whitebeard and warns of Blackbeard. At the same time, Ace finally encounters Blackbeard and his crew. In hopes to revenge Thatch, both Ace and Teach on Banaro Island. In sparking the big event that has yet to come...

Skypiea Saga 2002-2003
The third saga in the series. It follows the Straw Hat Pirates as they visit Jaya and Skypiea, a mysterious land above the clouds. However, once they get there, they become embroiled in a massive war that may result in the destruction of Skypiea. It is made up of two story arcs, making it the shortest saga thus far. In addition, it is currently the only saga where the Straw Hat Pirates did not gain a new crew member.
Nico Robin joins the crew, and Vivi stays in Alabasta. A ship hundreds of years old falls from the sky, and from the evidence contained inside, the crew begins to wonder if an island in the sky can really exist as the legends say. Meanwhile, the World Government gathers the remaining Seven Warlords Of The Sea together to discuss a replacement for Crocodile. Ace meets Buggy, and Shanks contacts Whitebeard. With help from Montblanc Cricket in Jaya, the Straw Hat Pirates manage to reach Skypiea, an island in the sky ruled by a false god named Eneru, who is later defeated by Luffy.

Baroque Works Saga 1999-2002
The second saga in the series. It follows the Straw Hat Pirates and how they help Princess Nefertari Vivi try to reach her homeland before a massive war breaks out. However, an evil organization called Baroque Works will stop at nothing to keep the crew from reaching Alabasta. It is made up of five story arcs.
The Straw Hat pirates finally enter the Grand Line only to be targeted by the criminal organization Baroque Works. They meet Vivi, and decide to help save her country, Alabasta. Making their way across the Grand Line, they fend off Baroque Works' assassination attempts while meeting Luffy's older brother, Portgas D. Ace, as well as a pair of giants named Dorry and Brogy, and gaining a new crew member: Tony Tony Chopper and defeating the greedy King Wapol. With the fate of Alabasta hanging on the line, the saga climaxes with a full-out confrontation with the Straw Hats fighting Baroque Works and their leader, Mr. 0, aka Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords Of The Sea. Eventually the Straw Hats defeat Baroque Works, with Luffy taking down Crocodile. And thus, freeing Alabasta and parting ways ways with Vivi.

East Blue Saga 1997-1999
The introductory saga of the series. Luffy meets Shanks as a young boy living in East Blue. This is where he recruits most of his crew and, ultimately, where the adventure begins. This saga is made up of six story arcs.
The saga starts off with a flashback of Gol D. Roger's execution. Before he dies, he tells the crowds to go out and search for his treasure. This sparked the Golden Age of Pirates in which countless pirates raise their flags and set off to find One Piece.
The East Blue Saga focuses mainly on Luffy setting off for the Grand Line and gathering crewmates. During the saga, Luffy gains four comrades: Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji and earns a bounty of 30,000,000 bounty after defeating top pirates which included Buggy The Clown, Captain Kuro, Commodore Don Krieg and the Fishman Arlong.
