DIRTY MACKIN

Bio- Dirty Mackin Born James L. Green III to James L. Green Jr. and Aretha Green on November 9, 1982 in Washington, DC. He gained an interest in rap music as a young child performing for classmates while in daycare. He was a dedicated member of KSO Productions, a youth organization using the performing arts to lead youth away from negative influences. Dirty Mackin, followed in his parents footsteps as an adolescent by focusing on and excelling in athletics. He helped lead his Pop Warner midget division football team to the National Championship tournament in Orlando, Florida in 1997. He teamed up with Cleveland Browns standout, Joshua Cribbs, to help lead their team to a 16 win 1 loss season. While attending St. Johns College High School, Dirty Mackin was a standout football player and Nationally exposed track star. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson Senior High School in Washington, DC and attended Norfolk State University in the fall of 2001.

While at Norfolk State University, Dirty Mackin teamed up with some rappers from DC and found his passion. After deciding to pursue a career in music Dirty Mackin returned to DC and began working with Dimension City Records and independent organization started by a high school friend. While with Dimension City he learned the art of constructing songs by spending time listening to artists i.e. 2Pac, Biggie, C-Lo Green, Devin the Dude and Master P. During this time, he wrote Step Your Game Up, Watch Your Mouth and Ugly. Not being satisfied with the direction things were going musically, he decided to keep the songs in his library for a later date.

In 2007 Dirty Mackin began to work with Listen Vision Recording Studios in Washington DC, completing Tax Free, Old Cool and Doin His Thang. He is also working with his cousin, producer Chris Moore of CMoore Productions out of Southern Maryland, together the tandem has completed So Official, I Can Get Money, Bloody Murder, Digital and Mystery Lady.

Dirty Mackin has performed at The Elks Lodge in S.E. DC several open mics at PURE Lounge on U Street in Washington, DC; The 2009 Caribbean Festival on Georgia Avenue using the Listen Vision stage. His music is on YouTube, DirtyMackin1107, myspace.com/youngswagga11, unsigned.com/dirtymackin
