About Official DiRTY HARRY Channel
In a world where comedians are doing "Rock Star" with more success and conviction then most bands out there, comfort can be found in the knowledge that one genuine rock n roller still exists to be uncovered from the International Sea of musicians.
Dirty Harry lead singer Harry has lived a life that would make Keith Moon and Jim Morrison proud, from recording with Motley Crüe's Tommy Lee, being awarded Playboy Babe of the Month clothed, singing with Cradle of Filth, loosing her home, heartbreak, madness, moving to Hollywood, recording in the studio with Slash and the obligatory diet of choice for music's most wanted and infamous; hard drugs and heavy booze.
Harry has come out fighting with her unique and appealing grunge rock assault which is devastatingly melodic, punchy, sexy and honest.
Harry is back in the UK preparing to release her debut single 'I've Been Down' and has teamed up with Hattie and Eddie from 'The Telegraphs' to form a band that look and sound amazing and the 3 of them are set to shake up the live circuit. Indeed their first 2 gigs together were both sold out!!
By 15 Harry who, having split her time between London and New York, was hooked on the punk, grunge, glam, garage rock and Industrial metal she discovered in the underground club scene. Harry answered an ad in Melody Maker and met Siouxsie and the Banshees guitarist Jon Klein. Klein taught her the ropes of recording and production which, helped develop her flourishing knack for song writing,.. she signed a big deal with Telstar Records, the label then folded and Harry headed off to live in Australia for a few years.
Having finally landed back in the UK, Harry received a call from one Tommy Lee, requesting a duet on the track Making Me Crazy, taken from Tommy's solo album Tommyland. She headed to Hollywood with a borrowed £200 and guitar to her name. Tommy's people put her up and before she knew it she was fully embroiled in the Hollywood circuit.
Harry also still managed to light up a starring role in Cradle of Filth's remake of the Heaven 17 classic Temptation. Soon after, she won the legendary accolade of (clothed) Playboy Babe of the Month, and was shot by legendary rock snapper Mick Rock (Bowie, Queen, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed).
During these insane times Harry healed her wounds and heartaches by writing songs on her bashed-up guitar, which she had dragged around the world. These songs were the nucleus of her upcoming new album which Harry recorded in LA and was produced by multi-platinum Grammy nominated producer Luke Ebbin (Bon Jovi, Rival Schools).
Around the same time, it became clear to Harry that she needed to head back to the UK, where all drama had by now cooled off. She got clean from drink and drugs, turning to Buddhism for a new found focus and serenity and before you knew it, Harry had supported Pete Doherty, Razorlight and most recently, was personally requested by Gary Numan to support him for his entire UK tour. Now Harry is gearing up for a Single release and a host of live shows which are compulsory attendance for anyone with a passion of real rock n roll.
Harry has lived more than any of us could imagine and instead of becoming a clichéd rock n roll suicide these events have garnished her music with genuine vitriol, honesty and edge.
Harry's debut single 'I've Been Down' from her new album 'Turning Poison Into Medicine' is out on the 8th November on A Wolf At Your Door Records!
