Phil Valentine is the director/producer of Who Will Stand, a documentary that examines the experience of a dozen physically and/or psychologically wounded American soldiers who have returned from war. The film premiered at the Cinema City International Film Festival in 2009.

Valentine, who began his career as a television scriptwriter in 2000, is a seasoned filmmaker before going on to produce films that include Gags, Siren, and The Las Vegas Abductions.

I'm not a veteran but I have first-hand experience regarding PTSD. I'm certain mine is in no way comparable to that which a soldier suffers and I have a huge amount of sympathy for them. Ft. Hood made it obvious that the government needs to be doing more to help these men and women.

In honor of Veterans Day, The Galaxy Theatres at Cannery Casino & Hotel will host a special open-to-the-public, free screening of Who Will Stand, our award-winning documentary film.

The free screenings will take place at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11. Attendees are invited to provide a donation as the price of admission with proceeds going to HELP USA LAS VEGAS, a Las Vegas-based organization that finds housing for homeless veterans.
