WELCOME TO MY CHANNEL!
Hello, youtube. My name is Jacob and I am 16 years old. I am a junior at the Greenville Community School in Greenville, PA. I also live for trains anyway, too. As you may know, I have Autisum (Asbergers Syndrome). I live in Greenville, PA that has a lot of railroad tracks. There are three railroad tracks in Greenville. Two of them are owned by the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad (B&LE). In 2004, the B&LE was offically owned by the Canadian National Railway (CN). On the B&LE, there are 16 locomotives. There are five SD38-2s. The locomotive numbers of the five SD38-2s are 862, painted in the Duluth, Mesabi and Iron Range Railroad (DM&IR), the rest of the four locomotives are orange and black, that are the B&LE's colors. The rest of the four are SD38-2s 866, 867, 868, and 878 (it is Illinois on the Homewood Deadline, no longer in Service). There are 11 SD40T-3s, all of them in B&LE paint. There are SD40T-3s 900 (my only favoritest SD40T-3) (900 is at Minnesota with the DM&IR), 901, 902, 903 (903 is at Minnesota with the DM&IR), 904 (904 is at Minnesota with the DM&IR), 905, 906 (906 is at Minnesota with the DM&IR), 907, 908, 909 (909 is at Minnesota with the DM&IR), and 910. So, five of the B&LE SD40T-3s are not in Greenville, so 16 minus 5 equals 11. There are 11 locomotives in Greenville. The B&LE's line is the CN Bessemer Subdivison. Some days, the B&LE hauls hopper cars to Conneaut, Ohio or North Bessemer, PA, near Pittsburgh. Northbound light engines go to Conneaut for ore loads to take to Pittsburgh. They also go to the Shenango Yard to pick up some hopper cars to take to Conneaut or North Bessemer. They also haul scrap trains. The scrap trains will go to Calvin Yard in Bulter, PA that is in Butler County. There are three trains on the B&LE. There is a light engine to Conneaut, loaded or empty ore hopper trains to Conneaut or North Bessemer, and scrap trains to Calvin Yard in Butler. That's all for the B&LE.
One track is owned by the Norfolk Southern railroad, formerly Conrail. There are two types of trains on the NS line. There is a local freight train and a coal train. The NS has a line called the NS Meadville Line, formerly the ERIE Lackawanna line and the Western New York and Pennsylvania Railroad (WNY&P). For the coal trains, there is a westbound empty coal train that will go to Masury, Ohio for coal loads. Then, there is a eastbound loaded coal train that will go to Meadville and then proceed to Salamanca, NY. There are coal train numbers on the NS. There is a 520, 522, 523, 524, 525, 527, 532, and 533. For the freight trains, there is a westbound freight train coming from Meadville that will head to Sharon. Then, there is a eastbound freight train coming from Sharon that will head to Meadville. There is sometimes a light engine move that will go to Sharon to return to the yard or pick up a train. Sometimes, a train coming from Meadville will stop at a place called XN at a place called Wasser Bridge Road. The engines will split the train apart and go inside the Shenango Yard for more cars. After the work is done, they will hook up their train and then proceed. There are freight train numbers. There are C23, C29, and C90. That's all I'm going to say about trains.
I live in Greenville, PA and I'm a big train fan. I'm a die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan. I love catching trains everyday and like to go out the window to put my ear outside and listen for trains so we could go out and film it at Wasser Bridge Road, Colt Road, Rutledge Road, or Main Street in Greenville. In Greenville, there is a park called Greenville Railroad Park and Musuem. If a train comes and if I have my camera, I will catch it. The Greenville Railroad Park has the NS line and NS trains will go by the musuem. There is another park in Greenville called the Greenville Riverside Park. They have a Recreation Center and it is near the B&LE line. If I see a B&LE train going by there, I will also catch it.
