Wow, is that the actual test footage from the movie? I had heard Toho had considered using stopmotion for part of the fight, but I was expecting something like the stopmotion in King Kong vs Godzilla. This looks like something the early Phil Tippet may have done. Very impressive indeed.

Let's face it, Godzilla has fought things that would make the Cloverfield monster piss himself... :) I'd rather see Godzilla take on something like The Midgard Serpent from Norse myth, you know? Something as big as all the ocean.... Now THAT would give Godzilla a run for his money.
