That The Lion King was based on Hamlet, Prince Hamlet and his evil uncle killing the king which is Prince Hamlet's father to take over the throne.
That The Lion King II: Simba's Pride is based on Romeo and Juliet, Romeo falling in love with Juliet, and Juliet as well falling in love with Romeo. But Juliet's father doesn't want her to be with Romeo.
And part of The Lion King 1 1/2, characters Timon and Pumbaa are based on two of Shakespeare's most remerable characters, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern from Hamlet.

My "The Lion King IV: (Don't know yet what comes after that part)
I think "Kopa" supposedly Kiara's older brother, at the end of The Lion King, you see a big "?" the cub they hold up has a tuft of hair sticking up on his head, which indicates that he is male. Simba had a tuft of hair just like this little guy. You think it's going to be a boy in the next one right? But no, it's a girl. Kiara. No tuft of hair on this little lady's head. I heard that the creators of The Lion King cut out "Kopa" deciding that there should be a change and it should be a female cub instead of a male cub. Then they came up with Kiara in the other movie. Anyways, Kopa, killed by Zira on her wrath of revenge for Scar, her mate. Kopa wandering out to far and Zira caught him and killed him. Simba petrified and Nala as well, the whole pride was shocked and devastated. Simba and Nala go for another trying a year later coming up with a female cub, they decided to name Kiara.
Another suprise! "Mheetu" supposedly suppose to be Nala's little brother, Nala and "Mheetu" come from a rogue father. Sarafina as the mother, Sarabi's best friend as you see them sunbathing in the first Lion King movie grooming Nala as Simba frolics up to her. And no, Scar is not the father of Nala and "Mheetu" you sick, sick people. That would make Nala and Simba RELATED! Since Simba's uncle is Scar. From people I heard that Mheetu, the story of him seeing to much at the day where Scar made his plan of revenge and sent Simba to the gorge. So that night when Simba ran away and Mufasa was recently killed, Scar was silently singing a lullaby as he made his way to the young cub as he was sleeping, he woke up and saw Scar towering over him, this was Mheetu's last lullaby.
