as Tai Kamiya: (八神 太一, Yagami, Taichi) is the older brother of Kari (Hikari) and the leader of the Digi-destined. He holds the Crest of Courage (勇気, Yuuki). His partner is Agumon, which transforms into Greymon, MetalGreymon and later transforms into WarGreymon.
He first appears in Digimon, episode 1, in the first season called, "And so it begins..." When Tai and the other kids' (except Kari, she stayed home, since she was sick) went to Summer Camp, they end up going into the Digital World, where they met their Digimon partners.
Tai is an adventurous and cocky, but naïve person. He wears goggles and that marks that he is the leader of the group. While on his adventures, he learns a lot about himself and the other kids' and grows up in a lot of ways.
When he gets older, he is not called to the Digital World. Three new Digi-destineds are chosen, as well as two children out of the old Digi-destined group are chosen. So Tai tries to lend a helping hand to the new Digi-destined. Tai tends to show that he has a crush on Sora.
