1. Either wipes off the oil on the cylinder walls, Which causes premature wear of the rings.

2. Either get's burned before the piston reaches T.D.C

3. Only use Either if you know your glow plugs or grid heater (depending on the manufacture) is not working, if not your engine can explode. I kno...

@Cumminspastya So does this mean that an engine brake and an exhaust brake are the same thing? I also remember reading somewhere that engines that are smaller than 10L can't have engine brakes, only the exhaust? Any light you could possible shed on this would be greatly appreciated!

Ahh dude, ya don't drive it in four wheel drive and you should really have let it warm up before you go that high in the rpm. Sorry just a pet peeve.

@kuhndog52 As true as that is, the gas engine will get peak Torque at like 2,500 rpm's, not the 1,200 to 1,600 rpm range were it really matters.

Did you use a Viper system for the remote start? Is it something you can do your self or should I take it in and have a pro do it.
