And I also thought that the poem was written in order to evoke peaceful thoughts/actions from people who were in no way peaceful? I'm not trying to disparage you; I'm just curious as to where you get your information...

I think Ragtime is just an American interpretation of Polka. That's my opinion at least...Anyway; good job! I love the way you interpret the transitions with a slight ritardando. And the differences between the way you played staccato and legato were very...smooth? I can't think of a word to desc...

@TYDiMaria I found this piece on my iPod mixed in with a whole bunch of random pieces by Romantic and 20th Century composers. I couldn't stop listening to it afterward! But unfortunately, my iPod glitched and lost it...It's not on my computer anymore either. Electronics are so annoying. :P

Our local symphony will be performing this in January!!! I can't wait! :D
