She knew that it was going to take more than being able to sing to make it in the music industry, so when she was able to buy recording equipment after working several part-time jobs during High School, she began to study the art of producing and recording music.

Singing before kindergarten and writing published poetry by the age of ten, it didn't take her long, before she was recording her own original songs for her family and friends to hear. Needless to say they were blown away. Even for an amateur set up, she managed to get the most out of her music equipment and in some cases produced product that was better than some of the professionally recorded demos floating around.

Her father, who saw the merit of her work, began taking her demos to who ever he could get it to. He dropped it off to different Record Labels and celebrated artists, but most went un-listened to. Two major labels, who did take the time to listen, put asterisks next to her name and commented that they were looking for that "one hit record" and when she had it, she could return for a listening. She was a little disappointed, but not enough to slow her down... It actually inspired her to work harder!

Although she soon became the talk of the town in her neighborhood, it was her Myspace Page that started to bring her the recognition she desired. Her fan-base was considered one of the fastest growing fan-bases on the site; As she solely operated her site without any marketing or advertising departments like most indie and major-label artists featured on Myspace, she's accessed over 20,000 views in just a few months time. Her page has also attracted the interests of celebrity songwriters, producers, artists, managers and labels across the country. Many industry insiders compared her to a young Mariah Carey, as she withholds both beauty and vocal talents to be the next young diva of this industry...

She has recorded at the world famous Sony Music Studios in New York City before it's retirement in August of 2007, and is currently in talks with several Major Record labels as she continues to write and record songs that she believes will leave a lasting mark on the music loving community.

When asked if she's discouraged due to the fact that she is currently unsigned to a Major Label, she humbly smiles but responds with optimism and confidence... "Music is always going to be apart of me... Whether I'm singing in the studio or in the shower haha!"
