▓The creation of DGK▓
The name Dirty Ghetto Kids originally came form an infamous talented tagging crew of Philly. The "Dirty Ghetto Kids" refered the area of Philly they grew up in as North Philadelphia, West Philthy. It was on these urban streets, that a young 10 year old, Stevie Williams was first seen terrorising the streets on a skateboard. He had a rough upbringing after this, leaving home to pursue skating, but he came out in the end.

Williams, growing up in the rough urban city of Philadelphia, became interested in skateboarding at a very young age. Williams got his first skateboard at the age of 11 and would always be seen on the streets skateboarding. He and his friends were often taunted at the local skate arena as "Dirty Ghetto Kids" but his passion for skateboarding did not change. As he grew older, his love for skateboarding led him to leave home and head for San Francisco in order to gain recognition and pursue a career as a pro skateboarder.
After being sponsored by DC Shoes for 6 years, Stevie Williams left to be the first skateboarder to be sponsored by Reebok in 2004 and was the foundation for their skateboarding shoes line.
In 2006, Williams opened a skate shop L&K Limited in Oceanside, California together with Nick Lockman
