Another gem off an album full of treasure.

What a sound! This is as fresh and rocking as the day it was recorded.

Industrial hammers, high voltage sparks skidding across the concrete floor, and a thumping spastic membrane of sound.

That you can dance to.

Even though the early albums were unbelievably good, this has become my favorite GO4 record. It is hauntingly beautiful and so well done. I love every song.

And it has the heavy beat that makes it GO4, so let's start dancing!

The songs that Mick sang lead on got more air play. They weren't better than Joe's, they just had more of a radio-ready sound.

Joe and Paul sing fine backup on this great tune.

You had to be a Stones fan or a Beatles fan, not both. So I was Stones fan in the '60's.

Later in life I went back and really studied the Beatles. I was quite impressed.

This was a great, great album. They had done it all by this time. They were the best punk band ever, they had hit records all over the place, they had their Sgt Pepper album - Sandinista, so they get together and lay down a beautiful tight album to put a big, fat, red cherry on top of a smoking h...

If you are listening to this song and not moving some part of your body to the beat, you are dead.

(Technically you could not be listening then, but you get my point)

Anything with Joe's voice is worth listening to. Whether he's singing, reading poetry, or just talking. Its audial whiskey.

Every second of Joe singing that we still have is priceless. Listen to the guy sing, he is not mailing it in, he is gutting it out.

I go all around on U-tube. I love a lot of different music. But guess where I always come back to ? Yes, the only band that matters - The Clash

They asked Joe why he didn't pronounce the words better.... he replied "cause that takes all the piss out of 'em"

I think the Clash had a lot of fun making Sandinista.

They earned it. They ruled the punk scene for years, and made lots of great music.

This is their "Their Satanic Majesty's Request", or "Sgt. Pepper".

They went into the studio and let it all hang out. I enjoy all of it.

Agree that this album was/is an under-appreciated masterpiece.
