On September 11th, 2001, I was 6 years old. Coming home from school. As soon as I came through the door, my mom grabbed and hugged me, crying. She told me what happened. And of course, I didn't understand it at all. Th next schoolday, during lunch, I started crying. My friends kept asking me what was wrong, but I didn't know the right way to answer them. I new inside that they wouldn't understand either. So when one of the lunch moniters, Mrs. Johnson, took me out in the hall to ask me what was wrong, and I will never forget what I said on September 12th, 2001. "Because all the people died in the World Trade Center!" Deep inside, I knew exactly what happened on that terrible day. We shall overcome, my bretheren! Someday.
