~Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are like us." Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are not like us." Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction. -Charles R. Magel
~The question is not, "Can they reason?" nor, "Can they talk?" but rather, "Can they suffer?"
-Jeremy Bentham
~Personally, I would not give a fig for any man's religion whose horse, cat and dog do not feel its benefits. Life in any form is our perpetual responsibility.
-S. Parkes Cadman
~Why should man expect his prayer for mercy to be heard by what is above him when he shows no mercy to what is under him?
-Pierre Troubetzkoy

Something I want to get across, don't come to my page and ask pointless questions like: "since you are a vegan, don't you feel bad for the poor veggies and fruits?"
FACT: plants lack a central nervous system even any other system designed for such complex capacities as that of a conscious suffering. Humans and animals commonly share interest in the avoidance of pain and suffering.
If anyone here is adamant and does not want to become a vegan, be my guest. Your health is not my concern, animal suffering is by all means what I seek to help prevent. And the preservation of endangered species also.
I will never look away and accept it, my heart and consciousness won't allow me to do so.
The human animal loves to dwell in the idea of being superior and highly intelligent. Intelligence is highly over-rated, and is a concept that only has any bearing or importance when tied to vanity. It means little, and constructively produces even less!
Such a horrible view, that humans are above all other sentient beings, we humans have a very limited sensory bandpass. We do not see in the UV or the IR or any other bandwidths, we hear only from 20 to 20KHZ...so absurd,
as is the idea of a celestial being that in turn takes care of us. This fairy tale of god has caused more destruction, separation, sparked hatred and intolerance than anything in the history of life on this planet, and does nothing but clarify that we as a species have very little to congratulate ourselves about, least of all an inflated ego over a supposition of "intelligence".
