Would have been better to put it (Jim Jackson) but to be fair, Jerry Corbitt may have had no idea in 1967 who wrote the song, and it was probably very hard back then to find out. It's credited to Hound Dog Taylor in Mark Spoelstra's version on Elektra's 1964 Blues Project album
