@belladonna1999 It wasn't a modern day auto-tune by definition, but yes they emulated an effect to provide an auto-tune like sound effect
So yeah, Cher was the first to do it.
Also, she didn't do it to enhance her voice, her team did it to sound more 'modern' and 'cool' with the song's beat and flow
