About me:
I started playing clarinet at age 12, then switched to alto clarinet, then bass clarinet and by age 14 became a confirmed sax player. To me, saxophones are works of art in both sound and appearance. Playing in a professional big band was a dream come true.
Interesting tidbits:
The sax has a sound closest to the human voice, particularly in its ability emulate expressions and nuances --- you can almost hear it "speak".
The saxophone was named after Adolph Sax, a man from Belgium who invented the sax over 150 years ago. (I will be eternally grateful to him as will others who love the sax.)
