DePauw U's Men of Note reunion concert brought 14 alumni singers from eight states to Meharry Hall in Greencastle, IN on 6-14-08. Organized in 1962-63 by Dorn Younger '64, the group was known for original close harmony arrangements by Younger and his successor, Frank Jacobs '66, of standards from the 1930s, 40s and 50s. All eight songs on these six videos were arranged by either Younger or Jacobs when they were students at DePauw. Student arrangements later featured tunes by The Beatles and The Association. Besides singing a cappella The Men were noted for adding bass, drums, piano, electric guitar, marimba and/or strings. Performance credits: Indianapolis television, Indianapolis Sinfonetta, inmates at a state prison and Expo '67, the World's Fair in Montreal. 1966 brought a professional album aired on powerhouse WJR in Detroit.
