MUSIC & PHILOSOPHICAL FANTASIZING
VIRAL DHARMIC & DAOIST CYBERNETIC CHIMERA
WE ARE WASTING TIME HERE THANK GOD!!
I use this channel to listen to music, philosophize informally with friends having time to waste on the net, watch all kinds of videos, share ideas, links and pics with peeps, realize my perfectly enlightened Buddha nature and help others do the same, bask in the intellectual love of God, find the Dao, and meet other competent dreamers. I will upload something of my own in a few months, stay tuned...
:-) Mes amis francophones - ou francophiles - sont invités à communiquer avec moi dans la langue de Molière s'ils le désirent!! :-)
I wish a beautiful, peaceful day to my channel viewers and friends. I reply to most kind - and not so kind - comments. I approve all invites coming from people who don't promote hate in any way, who don't favor or discriminate against any group of people, folks with no questionable political or religious agendas. I wanna chill out when I come here man!
Now a few miscellaneous (I love this word!) quotes:
''Talking about language is metalanguage, talking about metalanguage is metametalanguage (what we're doing now! But... what exactly am I doing now, talking about what we're doing now?); adhering to dogmas and following the rituals of a religion is religion; thinking about religions is metareligion, thinking about the thinking of religions and the thinking behind religions is metametareligion; thinking about knowledge is epistemology, logic and philosophy of science; the knowledge of nature is science; thinking of thoughts and thoughts on thoughts and the stuff of thoughts (discursive & rational thinking, psychology & psychoanalysis, melancholy, joy, dreams, insight, madness, etc.) is philosophy; loving is higher, adequate thinking'' (imo)
''I do not believe in a fate that falls on men however they act; but I do believe in fate that falls on them unless they act'' (Buddha)
''In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves'' (Buddha)
''It is mediocre, shallow if my intelligence allows it, to never seriously question my deepest beliefs, in order to see clearly the differences between beliefs, knowledge and wisdom'' (imo)
''You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger'' (Buddha)
''My friends, love is better than anger, hope is better than fear, optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic and we'll change the world.'' (Jack Layton, 1950-2011)
''The unexamined life is not worth living / Wisdom begins in wonder'' (Socrates)
''A focused, compassionate mind is the highest achievement of a human being: the hallmark of the best men and women of the past and today, it is beyond religion, philosophy, culture, science and art, it is what I admire the most and humbly strive for'' (imo)
''God or Nature'' (Spinoza)
''War is over - if you want it'' (Lennon)
''Dreaming is free'' (don't know who said that first, think it was Blondie)
''Winning is nothing, dreaming is everything'' (imo)
''It is proper for you, people, to doubt, to be uncertain; uncertainty has arisen in you about what is doubtful. Come, people. Do not go upon what has been acquired by repeated hearing; nor upon tradition; nor upon rumor; nor upon what is in a scripture; nor upon surmise; nor upon an axiom; nor upon specious reasoning; nor upon a bias toward a notion that has been pondered over; nor upon another's seeming ability; nor upon the consideration, 'That person is our teacher.' People, when you yourselves know: 'These things are bad; these things are blamable; these things are censured by the wise; undertaken and observed, these things lead to harm and ill,' abandon them'' (Buddha)

About Me:
Dreaming is the only remedy - music, your only friend. Daydreaming, the sacred condition of a 21st century lucid human mind, is intensified by music.
On my good days I'm a philosopher, a poet, an aesthete and a gentleman. (I try to be online on those days only).
In fact I'm just a man. A rare breed.
Here are some idiosyncratic views concerning actual and eternal issues:
- I LOVE Americans, but imo they're tragically naive regarding the nasty influence of their gun culture. Gun prohibition wouldn't be a realistic solution, in fact I believe it would be dictatorial even if it could be done: the right to own weapons must be maintained; also, target shooting, or responsible hunting, for instance, are NOT a problem imo. BUT, glorifying and mythologizing guns everywhere as they do in all Medias and politics, referring to them as instruments of freedom, has extremely bad consequences for their security and peace of mind. They act as though seeing, talking and especially thinking about guns, war, gangs and organized crime all the time and owning as many weapons as they can is totally inoffensive, irrelevant and inconsequential LOL. Their children grow up drenched in a superficial and silly gun culture, watching endless stressful situations on television, on the net and in the movies where guns (and the prison BUSINESS) are always the best solutions to cope with crime; they learn early that guns are 'necessary' for survival in America. And they tell you that guns were always a part of their 'core culture' as an excuse to resume their adoration for pistols. That's a very feeble argument: excision, drunk driving, woman beating are all unacceptable behaviors that many on this planet see as inalienable items of their 'core culture'. Americans are blind to their folly: other nations not having this gun culture disease do see it as a disease. If homosexuality was less taboo, marijuana considered less dangerous, the F word less obscene than guns in that country... if Americans could just 'forget' about guns, maybe they wouldn't need them after a while.
- I don't like swearing too much, for 2 strategic reasons unrelated to puritanism. When I use the F word on a regular basis, it's not as 'effective' imo. The second reason is that using the F word, as well as overall aggressive speech when I talk or write, on a regular basis, really makes me angry!! Fuck that!!
- 9/11 was an inside job... maybe, but frankly I don't care! The Republicans did start a useless war anyway, which is an even worse crime imo! I intensely disliked the Bush Administration even before the terrorist attacks. I'm extremely disappointed by the ignorance of American voters: those people can have a positive influence on world peace, but they're more preoccupied with the fear and hate their bad governments put in their guts, and the false notions they fill their heads with. Imo Americans should simply boycott the next Presidential election and start completely anew! They should think real hard about civil disobedience and other kinds of non violent but effective ways to refine their political process, which is totally corrupted by antisocial, private interests. They ought to reform their politics before wanting to crucify the culprits of 9/11. They should think a little more, hate a little less, and hurry up.
Hometown:
Montreal
Country:
Canada
Occupation:
Ferocious Dreamer, but also translator & teacher
Companies:
Dream Inc.; The Society of Benevolent Sociopaths...
Schools:
Yeah I went to school
Interests:
Music, daydreaming, night dreaming, bathing, arguing respectfully, eating, making new & unlikely friends, laughing, writing, sex, reading, yawning, trekking, puffing an aged, fat habano that I didn't pay for, dishwashing, giving and receiving unexpected gifts, and all other eminently human and truly useful activities. The meaningful things in life are people's feelings and stomachs - the ONLY ends in themselves. 'Truth', 'God', 'wealth', 'reputation' are purely mental entities. If you are sure about any 'Truth', don't even bother trying to be my friend. Humanity badly needs a thorough political reformation that can't be founded on traditional or socially-disruptive Truths. Being through with Truth, I now embrace and seek authenticity, intellectual elegance, rationality, pragmatism... and something else.
Movies:
Those revealing the deep meaning of life, of course... Hey! even the mob was influenced by the Godfather movies, lol! I love movies but hate the fact that they have such an impact on our lifestyles. More to the point, I would like to see more quality motion pictures having a beneficial influence.
Music:
Just take a minute to look at the variety of my favorites, a sample of what constantly plays in my head. I like just about anything, with the possible exception of gansta 'beat the bitches smoke the niggahs' kind of rap - that I still CAN enjoy as a joke, just for the music, tho... My choice of music hinges on my mood, my present occupation and the time of day. The older I get, the more genres I'm able to appreciate deeply. Almost anyone listening a few times to difficult or totally foreign pieces will acquire new tastes and sensibilities. Music is a fabulous verbal/non verbal vehicle of cultures and subcultures.
Books:
I enjoy the Bible and the Qur'an as masterpieces of literature containing wise comments and elevating stories... unfortunately mixed with patent absurdities irreconcilable with modern knowledge and issues. I honestly respect all faiths - up to a point - but imo the intrusion of superstitious beliefs based on 'holy' or 'revealed' Scriptures from other times and places, into contemporaneous political processes, is an anachronistic disaster. That being said, I'm neither a nihilist nor a bona fide atheist!! I enjoy French & English classical literature, Western & Eastern philosophy (Spinoza, Zhuangzi...), especially Buddhist Sutras (Nagarjuna) and philosophical treatises (Vasubandhu's Abhidharmakosa, Japanese Zen masters...). I love ancient Greco-Roman history, the history of warfare, the history of WW I & II. I read a few bestsellers and hit novels every year. I rarely read newspapers nowadays. I like medical articles... I used to earnestly study drug monographs lol.

Some say they are only words That seem to fade away
To me words are cherished If you use them the right way.
They can bring about a smile Maybe a tear or two
And words can mean an awful lot When the day is through.
Words of kindness words of love Happiness or cheer
Not just spoken one time But used throughout the year.
As I end this message There are words I'd like to say
You are very, very special Today and every day.
Wishing you a super duper weekend With love Nuti
