@TheZen200 I would say that many do believe in some form of religion. I was asking of proof for a far fetched theory proposed by an earlier commenter. The fascination with NDE's is that it offers a glimmer of proof of a loving God and not a god concerned with dogmatic beliefs.

@djalexmac The difference between an NDE and a DMT trip is the people who go through an NDE have a dramatic life change. Check out Pim Van Lommel's book on The Science of The Near Death experience. DMT does not produce life changing results.

@RajBala1982 You are right! NDE's smack right in the face of western christian theology. I cannot find one NDE in which God sends the person back and tells him to be saved. It is all about loving others and doing good.
