At that time, CBS-TV began airing that day's episode of the soap opera "As The World Turns", which was interrupted at 1:40 PM EST by Walter Cronkite's first bulletin of the shooting in Dallas.
This extensive series includes 9 hours of CBS coverage from the day of the assassination (11/22/63), plus an additional 1.5 hours of footage from 11/24/63 and another 1 hour from 11/25/63, which was the day of President Kennedy's funeral. .... Mark Lane's 1967 film about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. This documentary is based on Lane's best-selling 1966 book of the same title, and is one of the very first motion pictures ever made concerning the murder of JFK.
NBC WHITE PAPER: "THE AGE OF KENNEDY"
In 1966, NBC-TV aired an excellent documentary about the life of John F. Kennedy -- "THE AGE OF KENNEDY". It was originally telecast in May and June of 1966 in two separate one-hour installments as part of NBC's "White Paper" series of documentaries. The first half is subtitled "The Early Years"; the second half is called "The Presidency". Dominating this special NBC program is a wealth of vintage film footage of JFK. This 10-part playlist includes both segments of "The Age Of Kennedy" in their entirety.
