Website:
Old machinery, chainsaw usage, old records; mostly acoustic recordings.
About Me:
Country:
United States
Movies:
The Big Parade
Music:
Classical violin; 78's from the acoustic era and early electrically recorded songs. When you listen to the 78's on this site, remember that most of them were recorded through a megaphone, and some were played to death with worn out steel needles. Electrically recorded records are often worn badly, too, because they were also played on phonographs made for acoustic recordings, and played with old steel needles. Even worn out records offer a precious glimpse of a bygone era. I hope you enjoy them.

Ernie Pyle; MacKinlay Kantor
