Wonderful interpretation. The original LP had a rare piece coupled with this by Castelnuovo-Tedesco called "The Lark". I wish someone could download that one. It's a real gem.

I miss not only Neuperts, but also Eric Herz instruments and Pleyels - they all have a place in history.

I had it about 2 months ago - and I was able to cure it - here's what I did:

(Thanks to comment by "Jimmy" I realized that CPS is caused by silent reflux.

That lump, or stickiness is caused by stomach acid making its was up the throat.

1) Eliminate all acid-forming foods and eat ALKALINE foods.

He maintains the tension of the long line very nicely in this piece (op. 23 #4). Too often performances of the Prelude have an amorphous quality.

The Mercury / Philips recordings by Rafael Puyana made in the 1960's are real gems. Very special - actually they are my all-time favorite harpsichord recordings.

Also, there is a unique charm about the Pleyel harpsichord - it's unique nasal and buff stops. I wish Puyana had never stopped playi...

Michelangeli was in a class all by himself. The magic of this particular interpretation is that he eliminates all expressive non-essentials, and yet says all that needs to be said in this piece. The beauty is in the touch and the color. Any added expressive devices would be superfluous.

One can just feel the spirits of Mrs. Maxwell, Miss Querash, Mrs. Kyle, Mrs. Meisler, Mrs. Hirsch and even the forbidding spirit of Mrs. Kligman!! Bless them all :)

There used to be a cage with a piano there when I attended (1957-1964).
