Greetings friends, exes, stalkers, hangers-on, well-wishers and fellow travellers of Miss Dodd!
Alas, the corporate stars and legal planets have aligned to keep Miss Dodd out of the digital age. Perhaps it's for the best. She's a thoroughly modern lady, our Miss Dodd, but she's grounded in a world of old 78s on the vintage Victrola...
Likewise, we have here the video equivalent of old 78s, with clicks and pops and the occasional scratch. Embedded as in amber in an age of VCR timers and mangled tapes. A bit gritty, rough hewn, like Miss Dodd's world. But she glides through it all with ... well not so much ease or grace, more like, well, you get the picture. Anyway, she isn't remastered or high def, no Dolby or special features added, just Miss Dodd. A true classic.
Order in some Chinese and curl up on the couch with an old friend...
*****
NOTE: The episodes are posted in the order they were aired. But NBC aired some episodes out of order in the story line. To see the story in proper order, watch episode 111 between 102 and 103 and watch episode 212 between 201 and 202. The Season playlists are set up for the correct order.

I can't thank you enough for posting these -- such great memories of one of the best shows ever made!! Incredible writing, acting, photography, music, artistic direction -- it's a joy to be able to watch these through again...and again. I've been waiting for years; it figures "Davey" comes to the rescue ;)

Thanks for the post, "Davey." I'm guessing the conversion from VCR to MP4 took a lot of time and effort, as did the uploading to YouTube. Thank you VERY much for doing it; my wife and I are enjoying the hell out of watching the episodes. Next to "Frank's Place," DANOMD is the very best in television. (And it's hard to believe it's been almost 25 years -- I can remember parts of the show, as well as most of the characters, like it was just yesterday.)

Thank you for posting the whole series. I was in college when this aired and never quite got to see them all. I think this show was one of my first exposures to jazz, and I love the mood and the music of the show, as well as the story of Molly Dodd. I guess I'll be looking for uploads of The Wonder Years next. That one also hasn't been released on DVD. Once again, thank you!

Love the scene at the end of 501 with her and her dad on the roof... beautiful. Thank you for letting me see it again.

THANK YOU THANK YOU for your time and energies in posting these wonderful clips. L o v e this show SO much that I made Patrick Williams' wonderfully quirky opening theme the ring tone on my phone! I'm a DANOMD geek, I know. And proud of it! :-)

Happy anniversary, Miss Dodd! The series premiere aired twenty-four years ago, May 21, 1987. There's strawberry shortcake down in the lobby! Unless the world ends, of course...

Thanks a million for this channel! This will always be my favorite tv series. In some small way, this show inspired me to move to NYC during its run, and I'm still here. I was missing a few episodes, including the one when Molly's Dad dies, that seen with Fred at the close, never left my memory.
