I bought United Abominations the day it came out, and was severely dissapointed. I'm a fan of Megadeth, this album really blew it. Death Magnetic is much more thrash sounding, (in my opinion; oh yeah, and the opinions of everyone else that bought it and made it number 1, even after it was leaked on the internet), because it was made by a better, more successful, metal band called Metallica.

Oh yes, ur logic makes so much more sense than mine: "just because Death Magnetic is No. 1 doesn't mean it's better than United Abominations", because it's always the shit records that sell the most, right?

Metallica took a much-needed shit, and that is how Megadeth was founded. Oh yeah, Metallica "lied" about going back to thrash, that makes much more sense than the fact that they were, are, and always be the best metal band of all time, especially when being compared to Megadeth.
