Rant - Ubuntu 10.04 - Part 2/
Part 2 of the Ubuntu 10.04 Rant. This time we look at the default installation and it's a lot like Ubuntu 9.10.
1. Pretty bad there are so many updates right after a release, but that's what you get when you release often and ontime.
2. Kernel updates require restart (thought you'd know that)
3. Window buttons can be switched back to right side. (still a bad idea to switch imo)

Hey VannHerrenDesigns. I've used GridMove with two displays, but not three. I think there was some problem with using both AeroSnap and GridMove togeather on two displays for me, and I disabled AeroSnap, but gridmove did the trick. You can customize GridMove templates with a bit of trouble as well.

A 32bit OS supports up to 4GB RAM. I guess you have a 1GB graphics card or somthing. Just go with Win7 64bit :)

The question is, how did you accomplish this. Wouldn't you need to rebuild the kernel?

The song is based off of "popcorn" by The Ventures. This is a electronic remake though.

I think the real question is why is Ubuntu server edition installed if you want a GUI. Install Ubuntu desktop, then you wont have to download and install a GUI. Also, the server kernel is not configured for a desktop, or desktop tasks, but rather.. server tasks, so it is suboptimal with a GUI. I...

What are you comparing, hardware or software? To compare hardware, you'd need similar specs of competing brands such as intel and amd and identical software. You don't have that. To compare software you'd need identical hardware with competeing software you don't have that either. Fail?
